My 3g jailbroken ipod wont charge?

last nite i was deleting everything out of my ipod and it took about 2hours then when i woke up it had the low battery sign and i tryd to charge it with my wall charger but only the apple logo came up and i pluggd it in the computer samething happended...and my ipod doesnt reconize my computer because my bruther gave it to me
